Anselm Kiefer: Il Mistero delle Cattedrall @White Cube Bermondsey
Visited 5/1/2012
London's largest ever presentation of Kiefer's work, in White Cube's newest venue.
The collection was surprisingly accessible, the cavernous South Galleries forming the perfect setting for such a group of work. Though the work shown spanned several decades and medias, it was possible to move easily from sculpture to painting.
An unmissable collection of work by an artist who has become so much a part of the zeitgeist. A short walk from London Bridge, and a short show to see, definitely worth a visit.
Top 3 works:
1)Fulcanelli finis gloriae mundi (1990)
2)Dat rosa miel apibus (2010-2011)
3)Tempelhof (2010-2011)
